Hello!! Sorry for taking so long on this. I've finally replaced the audio flex as well as putting back the stock 1000 ohm resistors. Both the TOSLINK mod and the PS1 digital audio will work simultaneously with the stock resistors in place :) Thank you Dan for all your help!! :)

So just to clarify, is the sound scope problem also my monitor at fault? I just tried on another TV and it did the same thing.

I found this strange bug when listening to a CD with sound scope (a music visualization thing on SCPH-7000 and up). The signal dropped when one of the graphics started playing and then it ended up like this. A full reset fixed it, and its definitely not a big deal, but I just thought I should...

So I just finished putting in the 330 ohm resistors but unfortunately it seems at some point I broke the 2nd and 3rd from the right connections on the audio flex. I have no idea when it happened, so for all I know the mods might have worked with the 750 ohm or even the stock 1k resistors... :(...

I had some left over 750 ohm resistors from an old project, but unfortunately they result in the same problem :( I've got some more 330 ohm resistors on the way, once they arrive in about 1 to 2 weeks i'll give them a try! :)

Are you able to bring up the OSD? You could load a game with an opening FMV and check the hearts which correspond to pins on the GPU.

So I just tried to replicate the issue and film it, but it seems to have vanished now... which is a good thing I guess! I'll keep playing and see if it happens again, maybe it only occurs on some boots or something? I've tried resetting the PS1, resetting memory alignment, changing the scaling...

Thanks for the reply! :) This game is always 240p throughout all gameplay, the menus don't switch resolutions either. I'll try turning off force 240p as well as the memory alignment and see if that does something!

For what its worth, I don't get the test screen when holding down reset either and mine seems to be working fine. Are you certain that the PSNEE wires were done correctly? Maybe if you get those wires wrong it could damage the PS1D board? If not, then the issue would have to be with the flex...
