Settings Won't Change

Quick question....everything works great for me except the settings for deinterlacing and the HQ2X settings. Even with deinterlacing set to on, it and the settings under it are all in red and don't seem to change anything when selected and saved. For example I should be able to see a difference with HQ2X on and off but cannot. Those settings and the deinterlacing are the only ones in red. Can anyone explain why this is? I'm on the most recent firmware and everything else is working as it should.
