SCPH-7501 compatibility with XStation

Notice the product page says 700X but not 75XX. Is the 7501 confirmed to not work? I can open it up to see what motherboard it has if I have to.

The 7501 will not work as sony removed access to the digital audio.

Only the PU-18 and PU-20 motherboards will work.
