Hi there,
I have a PS1Digital in my pal-pu18 SCPH-5552 with the PSNEE wired and also a PSIO. Typically i only ever used the PSIO to play games and haven't had an issue. Found out there was a firmware update so went ahead grabbing the latest version and all went ok. Decided recently to start playing my real game CDs only to find out it no longer reads anything... backups or official PAL/NTSC etc but it will read audio discs no problem. Tried booting cds with and without the PSIO attached and still no good.
Opened it up to investigate the possibility of it being the laser but first disconnected the optional PSNEE wiring. Seems to read cds fine now but obviously prefer the region hack as i have many official NTSC games id like to play.
Does anyone know how to revert back to an old firmware? I'm guessing its via the command line?
Anyone who could help with this would be much appreciated.
