I installed both the PS1 Digital and the X-Station on my SCPH-5501 last night. I get perfect 1080p and Audio while playing games. Unfortunately, I can’t get any audio during FMV cut scenes on all games. I tried Resident Evil and the opening of the game is all FMV. I don’t hear a thing. Once I’m in the game, I hear all the SFX, but I don’t hear any of the in game voices.
I tested it also using the analog port using my RAD2X and I also get no audio during FMV. All signals seem to test fine using the built in test on the PS1 Digital. I tested my RE files and burned a CD and tested it on my SCPH-7501 and all FMV audio is present. I’ve swapped HDMI cables, tried a different TV, still no FMV audio. Could it be the X-Station flex cable being to bent?
