No video after Firmware flavour switch

I was trying to update the firmware from 4.3 to the most recent and I hadn't done it in a while. I didn't notice the note about the GDemu until after. The firmware never downloaded past 9% and I never tried to install it but I did try and change the firmware flavour from standard to relaxed. It loaded and then reboot to a black screen and I haven't been able to get video back. Cruz tells me that I will probably need to use an external programmer to re-flash the firmware. Just checking there isn't anything else I can do before I go that route.

Have you tried another tv? The relaxed doesn't work with all tvs, so that particular tv may not like it.

I tried with my data path 1 capture card and with my TV. I can try bypassing the av receiver which works for nes and snes on the ossc at 5x.

Programmer came in and I spent all afternoon with it. Turned out the data lines from the damn mini usb port were not soldered down... after I fixed that I flashed the recovery firmware and I was good to go. I am not going to be the test subject again but it would be good to know if that firmware flavor option and a gdemu can cause issues. Either way, its up and running now and I am good.
