buggy firmware update process / bricked dchdmi

Hey there,

today I tried to update my fairly old DCHDMI (pre-order round 5) for the first time. Some things changed like the header (DCdigital) and the changelog (v4.6) while the version shown was still at v2.3 -- which I found strange.

When I changed the update configuration from standard to relaxed a new update was found. Only the FPGA hash changed (sorry, no screenshot). The update process went through without a hiccup but after a restart the unit isn't really working anymore. My TV keeps black, my PC monitor and another TV show me this craziness:
In both cases I can't reach the DCHDMI menu. From my point of view the unit is bricked. Is the update process faulty for direct updates from 2.3->4.6? What now?

Those are the newest firmware hashes, so looks like a bug displaying the wrong firmware version.

Can you go into VGA mode (Left Trigger + Right Trigger + Y + B + Start) Does that help?

Looks like your tv does not like the relaxed version.

Like I said, after changing update config a new fpga hash was found for which I don't have a picture. Is this correct? I thought it's now a unified firmware with one set of binaries.

The VGA mode does indeed change something. The 1440p Monitor in the video goes from boxed 4:3 picture to fullscreen+widescreen, same flickering. My TV goes from black screen to a 4:3 flickering picture, like in the video. In both cases I can't get the menu to show.
